About Us

The Wonder Years Learning Center was established in 1996 to fulfill a need in the growing Wilmington community for high quality, accessible child care for children 6 weeks through 6 years of age. Since that time we have consistently provided parents with safe, interactive learning environments for children. We also continue to provide flexible scheduling, competitive pricing, realistic operating hours, and an open-door visiting policy to better support your parenting needs.

We believe that children learn best through play. We also believe that in order to engage children in the learning process they need a safe environment in which they can explore, play, create, and learn at their own pace. Our emergent curriculum is based upon the needs and interests of the children so it remains dynamic and grows with the children throughout the year. A child’s social-emotional development is also extremely important to the learning process. As such this is a key element of our curriculum.

 

Parents and families are important at The Wonder Years Learning Center! We provide a supportive network to encourage parents to connect with one another via our parent group, private classroom face book pages, center directories, and center events. We also provide an expert staff who partner with parents to provide individualized education and support to help make the role of “parent” a little less challenging.
